Communications Associate (looking for 3 people)

On Top Strategy is a communications and PR agency that partners with high-growth startups and established companies across various industries. We work closely with founders and leadership teams to help them share their stories, build their brands, and connect with the right audiences.

We’re looking for a Communications Associate who can roll up their sleeves and jump into a mix of content, PR, and account work. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn the ins and outs of company life, grow their skills quickly, and play a key role in delivering great work for clients.

What You’ll Do

 

Social Media & Content

  • Write and schedule LinkedIn posts that highlight client achievements, insights, and thought leadership.
  • Research topics and trends in healthcare, technology, and startups to create content that feels timely and relevant.
  • Draft blog posts and longer-form articles that communicate complex ideas in a clear and compelling way.
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments, and interact with posts to help build community and visibility.
  • Design simple but polished graphics, infographics, and PDFs in Canva to support social and blog content.

 

Writing & Thought Leadership

  • Work closely with our team to craft thought leadership pieces that reflect the voices of founders, executives, and subject-matter experts.
  • Use AI tools like ChatGPT to generate drafts and ideas — and then refine them into strong, human-centered final products.
  • Write in a way that educates, persuades, and builds authority while still being accessible.

 

Design & Creative

  • Create graphics, one-pagers, and visual assets that are sharp, minimalist, and aligned with client brands.
  • Support the development of PDF guides, reports, and presentations.
  • Apply an eye for layout, contrast, and clarity to make content visually engaging.

 

Awards & Recognition

  • Research and track relevant industry award opportunities for clients.
  • Draft compelling submissions and manage the application process to position clients for recognition.

 

Client Management

  • Attend client calls, take detailed notes, and ensure action items are captured and tracked.
  • Follow through on deliverables for both our team and clients, staying organized and proactive.
  • Anticipate client needs and think one step ahead, helping projects move forward smoothly.

 

PR & Media

  • Research journalists, outlets, and media opportunities aligned with client stories.
  • Build media lists and gather contact information using online tools and resourcefulness.
  • Draft and customize email pitches that cut through and generate interest.
  • Contribute ideas for media campaigns, story angles, and timely hooks.

 

AI & Tools

  • Leverage AI tools to work faster and smarter — whether it’s drafting content, researching trends, or brainstorming ideas.
  • Confidently prompt, edit, and refine AI output to deliver polished, client-ready work.

 

Overall

  • Look for ways to go above and beyond — whether that’s spotting an opportunity, solving a problem, or suggesting a new idea.
  • Bring creativity, resourcefulness, and speed to

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years of experience in communications, PR, or marketing (company or startup experience a plus).
  • Strong writing and editing skills — able to adapt tone and style across different clients and industries.
  • Comfortable with social media management (primarily LinkedIn) and familiar with scheduling tools.
  • Proficiency in Canva for graphics and simple design; bonus if you’ve used Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proficiency with AI tools like ChatGPT, and the ability to refine AI drafts into high-quality, human-ready work.
  • Solid organizational skills — able to juggle multiple accounts, deadlines, and moving pieces.
  • Client-ready presence — confident on calls, dependable in follow-ups, and detail-oriented.
  • Proactive and resourceful — you figure things out, dig up information, and take initiative without waiting to be told.
  • Curious about startups, healthcare, and technology — you like learning new industries and spotting trends.
